The Chrysler 200 is offered as a four-door mid-size sedan and in a convertible model, thought of as the younger brother of the flagship 300.
The first generation Chrysler 200 was a restyled, rebadged and re-engineered version of the third generation Chrysler Sebring but is now making a name of its own. Interestingly, the 200 was ranked with the Dodge Avenger as the “Most American Made” sedans and convertibles by The Kogod Made in America Auto Index in 2013.
The Chrysler 300 is a full-size luxury sedan designed to be a modern interpretation of the Chrysler C-300 featuring a large grille, long hood and low roofline that was prominent on the Chrysler letter-series vehicles. It has been featured in several television commercials and is a popular icon of luxury.
Chrysler Town & Country
The Chrysler Town & Country is a luxury passenger minivan originally introduced in 1989, now in its fifth generation. After a long ride at the top, the Town & Country will be discontinued for the 2017 model year, in favor of the Chrysler Pacifica.
Did you know? Chrysler group minivans (which include the Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager) have ranked as the 13th bestselling automotive nameplates worldwide, with over 12 million sold.
Chrysler PT Cruiser
The Chrysler PT Cruiser (PT standing for “Personal Transport”) is a retro styled compact car launched in the year 2000 as a 5-door hatchback. The PT Cruiser is a front-wheel drive 5-passenger vehicle, classified as a van in the US by the NHTSA for CAFE fuel economy calculations but as a car by most other metrics. In 2001 Car and Driver acknowledged the PT Cruiser on its “Ten Best” list and the vehicle also won the North American Car of the Year award. Despite the accolades, this vehicle model has since been discontinued from production.
The Chrysler Sebring is a line of mid-size automobiles that was sold from 1995 through 2010. Supposedly, this car was named after Sebring, Florida, the site of the renowned endurance car race called the 12 Hours of Sebring. You can find the Sebring in various body styles, including convertibles, sedans, and coupes. All Sebring models were replaced by the Chrysler 200 for the 2011 model year.
The Chrysler Crossfire is a rear-wheel drive, 2-door sports car sold by Chrysler and built by Karmann of Germany for model years 2004-2008. The name “Crossfire” refers to the two character lines that run from front to rear along the body sides — crossing each other midway through the door panel. Conceived during the period of Chrysler’s ownership by Daimler-Benz, the name also refers to the collaboration of the two companies.
Unlike most cars of its time, the Crossfire does not use a rack and pinion steering system; instead, it utilizes a recirculating ball system. Thanks to the partnership of the two corporations, the Crossfire shares 80% of its components with the R170 Mercedes-Benz SLK320.
